Erich Wolfgang Korngold (May 29, 1897 - November 29, 1957) was a composer.

Korngold was natural within an assimilated Jewish home in Brno, Austria-Hungary (now Czech Republic), the boy of the music critic Julius Korngold, and deliberate music under Alexander von Zemlinsky and Robert Fuchs. Gustav Mahler, upon meeting the immature Erich, known as him the "musical genius." He got profits inside Europe using his opera Die tote Stadt (1920) among more pieces prior to moving to the United States in 1934, where he wrote the total of extremely regarded film scores. He continued to write concert music within the rich, Romantic style, with the concerto for violin among his notable later works. Around 1943, Korngold became a naturalized citizen of the United States. He died around Hollywood, California.
